It is the time for 89th Academy Awards or Oscars to be announced. And that means, it is time to see Hollywood rolling out the red carpet to take over TV with astonishing outfits in pursuit of those golden statutes.
This year, Jimmy Kimmel will host the event that will take place at the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles. Kimmel was praised for his work last year in Emmys – the TV equivalent of the Oscars.
Oscars 2017 ceremony will have two components – the red-carpet arrivals, and the main ceremony. Red-carpet arrivals of celebrities will kick-off on Sunday, February 26, 4pm Pacific time/ 7pm Eastern time, which translates to Monday, February 27, 1am in the UK and 5:30am in India.
The main awards ceremony will begin 5:30pm Pacific time, or 2:30am the UK time, and 7am Indian Standard Time.
In the US, viewers can see the Oscars 2017 telecast on ABC. The ABC website will also live stream the 89th Academy Awards ceremony.
The UK viewers can watch the ceremony on Sky network’s channel Sky Movies Oscars.
In Australia, the Nine Network will broadcast the Oscars 2017 event, starting 12:30 pm local time on Monday. Live streaming online will be available on 9Now.
Viewers in Canada can watch the event on CTV, and its CTV Go service.
Indian viewers can enjoy the show on Star Movies, Star Movies HD, and Star Movies Select HD. Live streaming of the event will be available on Hotstar.
In Germany, Pro7 will telecast the Oscars 2017 ceremony. The coverage will start at 12:30 am local time and main ceremony at 2:30am.
