Sony Xperia XA is set to be launched in India on Monday. The company’s latest teaser posted on Twitter reads “Your perfect Selfie companion, with OIS. This Monday” – hinting at the 16-megapixel selfie camera supporting OIS.
The company will likely announce the price and availability details on Monday.
The Xperia XA Ultra was announced by Sony a couple of months ago. At that time, Sony had said that that the smartphone will be available in select markets by July, although the company had not revealed that launch date at that time.
The Sony Xperia XA Ultra is powered by a 64-bit MediaTek Helio P10 MT6755 octa-core processor and runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow. The smartphone is equipped with 3 GB of RAM, and a 6-inch full-HD (1080 x 1920 pixels) display with the new Mobile BRAVIA engine 2. The phone offers 16 GB of inbuilt storage, expandable up to 200 GB via microSD card.
The smartphone sports a 21.5-megapixel rear camera (Exmore RS sensor, hybrid autofocus, HDR photo mode, auto-scene recognition, and LED flash). The main highlight will be the 16-MP front selfie camera featuring wide angle lens, Sony Exmore R sensor, front-facing flash, auto-focus, OIS, and HDR photo mode.
The 2,700 mAh battery is claimed to give up to 2 days of battery life. The quick charger will give 5.5 hours of battery life in just 10 minutes of charging, as per company’s claims.
Sony Xperia XA Ultra supports dual-SIM (Nano SIM). Connectivity options include 4G support, 3G, GPRS/EDGE, Wi-Fi, A-GPS, Miracast, Bluetooth 4.1, NFC, and DLNA.
Sony’s Xperia XA Ultra comes in Graphite Black, White, and Lime Gold colors, although it is not confirmed whether Lime Gold variant will be available in India. Sony is likely to offer a back cover, flip cover, and a transparent back case along with the handset.
