King cobras are among the most dreadful creatures in the reptile kingdom and most of us fear them so much that hardly anyone would prefer going near them. However, a video has appeared on internet, which shows people offering water from a bottle to a king kobra to save its life.
This incident occurred at Kaiga in North Karnataka (India) where people gave drinking water to a 12-foot-long king kobra to save its life.
North Karnataka region is currently facing drought situation. Several villages in this region are experiencing severe water crisis. There is not much water left for the people, and animals in the wilds have also been badly affected by this situation.
The YouTube video shows staff of forest department giving water to a king kobra from a bottle. The video shows one individual holding the tail of the snake, while another person gives drinking water to the snake to save its life. Probably the snake could not find water anywhere around and came close to a village, where it was spotted by the villagers. These people informed the forest department staff, who then saved the life of the snake by offering it the life-saving water.
According to wildlife officials, the king kobra was later taken to Animal Care Facility, and after a few hours it was released in the wilds in Karnataka.
