Nintendo Releases Series of Original Sketches Used to Create The Legend of Zelda

Nintendo has released original sketches that were used to create the game The Legend of Zelda, which is celebrating its 30th anniversary this year.

These drawings were created by Shigeru Miyamoto and Takashi Tezuka about 30 years ago, and were then transformed into the pixelated Nintendo Entertainment System (NES) game.

Nintendo has also released a video showing the overworld map from the game.

“That’s right – it’s the overworld map from the original The Legend of Zelda,” Nintendo wrote about the video.

“If you look carefully, you might spot some secrets hidden around Hyrule.”

In the past 30 years, Nintendo has released several Zelda titles, and the newest, The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, is expected to be released in 2017.

2016 has been a big year for Nintendo, with firm unveiling the NES Classic Mini, Nintendo Switch, and the Super Mario smartphone title.

Headquartered in Kyoto, Japan Nintendo is a Japanese consumer electronics and software company, and one of the world’s largest video game companies. The company was founded in 1989 by Fusajiro Yamauchi, and at that time, it used to produce handmade hanafuda playing cards. The cards soon became popular, and the company expanded its operations to mass mass-produce cards to satisfy demand. Nintendo still manufactures playing cards to date and also organizes a bridge tournament called the “Nintendo Cup”.

In 1970s, Nintendo shifted its focus from other ventures to develop into a video game company and to later become Japan’s third most-valuable company with a market value of over $85 billion. In the past 40 years, Nintendo has created some of the top-selling video game franchises, such as The Legend of Zelda, Mario, and Pokémon.
